Why do I suddenly need a BDA system? I’ve never needed one before.
Building codes (specifically NFPA 1225 and IFC 510) have become much stricter regarding first responder radio coverage. Additionally, modern energy-efficient building materials are excellent at blocking the radio signals necessary for emergency communication. If your building fails a signal test, a BDA system is often the solution required to obtain your Certificate of Occupancy.
How long does the process take? We are on a tight deadline.
We understand that delays are costly. A typical coverage study can be completed in a single day, and we provide the results shortly thereafter. Depending on the complexity of the design, and AHJ approval, and permitting process, installation can range from a few weeks to a few months.
